Sallah: Police Warn Trouble-makers to Stay Clear from Rivers
…As CP assures Muslim faithful of hitch-free celebration

Rivers State Police Command has extended felicitations to Muslim faithful in the State, as they mark the Eid-El-Kabir Sallah celebration, warning trouble makers to stay clear.
The Command further called on the residents to use the period of celebrations for sober reflection and to offer prayers for the peace and progress of the State and the nation at large.
State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Grace Iringe-Koko, a Superintendent of Police (SP), in a statement issued on Sunday, called for cooperation between the residents and security agencies to secure the State.
She stated: “While felicitating with all Muslims, the Command is calling on the religious leaders, worshippers and residents of the State to as usual, cooperate with the Police and other security agencies in the state, as adequate security arrangements have been put in place to guarantee a hitch-free celebrations in the state.
“Furthermore, all Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers and Tactical Commanders have been directed to dominate the State with overt and covert security deployments to safeguard the lives and properties of the peace-loving people of Rivers State, as well as ensuring adequate security coverage at all worship and recreational centres.
“Consequently, troublemakers with evil intentions to disturb the celebrations are warned to stay away from the state or face the full wrath of the law accordingly.”
