Proposed Nationwide Protest Political – Wike
From PAULINE PODKA, Abuja
Minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has expressed displeasure over the planned nationwide protest by Nigerians.
Wike described the protest scheduled for August 1 as political.
He reacted to the development while inspecting the Apo-Karshi road, in the nation’s capital.
Wike urged Nigerians to be patient, adding that many people want everything to be done in a day.
He assured that the President Bola Tinubu-led government is doing everything possible to deliver the dividends of democracy very soon.
He said: “You can see that the planned protest is political and nothing more. We need to be patient with this government.”
