A man simply identified as Nnanna has stabbed his neighbour, Monday Reuben, 65 years old, on allegation of witchcraft practice.
The incident occurred at 37 Okwelle Street, Mile 2 Diobu, Port Harcourt, in Port Harcourt City Local Government Area of Rivers State.
The suspect (Nnanna), who is in his early 30s, reportedly stabbed the victim (Reuben), at neck and head region and fled.
Reuben while narrating what happened between him and the suspect, told journalists that the attack started on Tuesday night.
“I greeted him by calling him O’Boy.
He said why did I call him, that he knows I am a wizard; that, he would kill me and run away.”
The victim said the suspect stabbed him at the neck with a broken bottle and his head on Wednesday morning.
“This earlier morning (Wednesday), he batched into my house and stabbed me on the head.”
Reuben said he has reported the attack to the Police, and called on security operatives to apprehend the fleeing suspect.
Pentoks News gathered that Reuben was taken to an undisclosed hospital for treatment after he was issued medical report form by the Azikiwe Police Division.
The state Police Command has not made any official statement on the attack as at the time of filing the report.
